My major interests include cardiovascular research, patient care and education in the broad subspecialty of interventional medicine. I have been involved in all aspects of biomedical research including device prototyping, medical engineering, experimental physiology, molecular biology, pre-clinical animal studies, animal modeling, pharmacology, biomaterials, the development and management of clinical trials, and regulatory processes.  In the last 15 years I have worked in the field of Cardiovascular Pharmacology, Translational Research, Endovascular devices, Angiogenesis, Phototherapy, Laser Interventions, Cell transplantation, Heart Failure, Wound healing, Drug Eluting Stents, Biomaterials, Biosurgery, Drug eluting scaffolds, Gene therapy, Antisense, interventional treatment of multiple sclerosis, Nanotechnology.  We developed first Vaccine for Koksaki virus. My research has led to the pioneering of several techniques to treat cardiovascular diseases. As a result of my research in the aforementioned areas, I have authored more than 200 manuscripts, 400 abstracts and over a dozen U.S. and international patents.
